This runs on the same maintained codebase as every paid tier, so the bug you find gets fixed in the same engine the enterprise runs. You've gotthe docs anda community that actually answers. The one thing the free tier doesn't include is an SLA: that's what the paid plans are for, and we'd rather tell you that straight than pretend otherwise.

Is this a trial?
Nope, and there's no expiry. Non-commercial use is free for as long as you want it - in perpetuity. The only limits are 10 nodes and the non-commercial license.
Is it a stripped-down version?
Not at all. It's the full engine. The paid tiers add scale, commercial-use rights, and support commitments - never features we held back from you.
Can my company use it for free?
To kick the tires, absolutely - on real workloads, for a while, no contract needed. Once it's running inside your commercial operation, that's a commercial license. We'll make that part easy when you get there.
What's the catch?
Genuinely, there isn't one. Keep it non-commercial, stay under 10 nodes, and it's yours for free, for good. The free tier starts at 5; tell us it's non-commercial and we'll raise your limit to 10. When your thing grows into a business, come find us.
