A node in Bacalhau is any device that can run workloads as part of your distributed computing network. This could be a server, a cloud instance, an edge device, or even a laptop running the Bacalhau software.
Billing is based on the number of nodes you use. We’ll work with you to estimate your expected usage, and you’ll be billed monthly based on the actual number of nodes deployed. You can scale up or down at any time and only pay for the nodes you use
While Bacalhau’s core is open source, our commercial offering includes compiled binaries, enterprise support, and managed services. Paid tiers deliver the security, reliability, and support businesses require for production deployments.
Yes! The Community tier includes access to the same binary used in Professional and Enterprise tiers and should be completely compatible with upgraded versions.
